Lecture on bibliotherapy in a day hospital

Prof. Davor Piskač, PhD, and Danijela Šago, MD, PhD, delivered a lecture at the Sveti Ivan Psychiatry Clinic in Zagreb entitled “Bibliotherapy in the Day Hospital: Clinical Framework and Application”, marking five years of professional collaboration within the Day Hospital programme.

They presented the results of their collaboration to date, the clinical framework, and the methodology for applying literary bibliotherapy in work with patients. Davor Piskač focused in particular on the use of conceptual metaphors in facilitating the expression of emotions and on approaches to working with emotions based on the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy.
